Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an effective treatment for many problems including musculo/skeletal pain, headaches, allergies, etc. It is extremely useful in clearing energy blockages and in improving and balancing the energy flow through the meridians. It is also very helpful in supporting and improving the function of individual organs involved in the disease process.
Auricular Medicine is my primary modality for treating the underlying causes of imbalance. Various herbs, homeopathic medicines, nutritional supplements, etc., may be prescribed as ongoing daily treatment. As a second modality, Acupuncture is useful in assisting that process at times of acute aggravation such as pain, allergies, headaches, etc, and especially useful in moving stagnant energy and warming, or tonifying depleted Qi.
Auricular Acupuncture is used in the course of an assessment for acute injury, to calm an emotional stress response, and especially as a treatment for stopping smoking, addictions, and to help sedate obsessive eating disorders. Needles, electrical current and infrared laser may all be used for various conditions.
